We are currently seeking a dynamic and talented Application Scientist to join our team and contribute to our quantum computing solutions.
Position Overview
As an Application Scientist at QuantrolOx, you will play a pivotal role in engaging with our customers for consulting and support. This customer-facing position will also require you to offer valuable feedback to our product development team, set up experiments in our state-of-the-art development lab, and assist customers with software installation in their own labs.
Key Responsibilities
- Cultivate strong relationships with customers, understanding their unique needs, challenges and requirements.
- Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Gather feedback from customers about their experiences with our automation software.
- Collaborate closely with the product development team to convey customer feedback and contribute to product enhancement.
- Design, set up, and conduct experiments in our cutting-edge development lab to validate and refine our quantum computing automation solutions.
- Thoroughly document experimental procedures and results for internal reference and customer support.
- Assist customers in the installation and configuration of our quantum computing automation software and within their lab environments.
- Deliver comprehensive training and support to customers to ensure effective utilization of our automation solutions.
Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in physics, preferable with postdoc experience with superconducting qubits, or related areas.
- Demonstrated expertise in experimental setup and execution within the realm of quantum computing or closely related fields.
- Proficiency in programming and familiarity with quantum computing software frameworks.
- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate customer interactions and convey feedback effectively.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a cross-functional team environment.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role or providing technical support is advantageous.

Job Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Product Owner to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a PhD in Physics with a specialization in experimental quantum physics and quantum computing.
Position Overview
As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for managing product releases and shaping the product development. You will take an active role in product release planning making sure that product is delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with internal stakeholders to define product development roadmap.
- Prioritize and maintain product release plans based on business value and customer needs.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure a clear understanding of user stories and help the team derive product requirements.
- Help organize and participate in regular stand ups, reviews and release planning meetings to provide guidance and direction.
- Make decisions on feature prioritization as needed during development and product releases.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring alignment with the product vision.
Qualifications
- PhD in Physics with a specialization in experimental quantum physics is preferred.
- Experience with Python programming.
- Desired experience working with control electronics in a quantum computing environment but not required.
- Desired prior experience in product management or product ownership in deep-tech.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of Finnish language is not required as work is conducted in English.

Applied Researcher
Location: Delft, The Netherlands
Reporting to the Technical Team Lead, you will work at the interface between disciplines such as applied machine learning, quantum physics, electrical engineering, materials science, and computer science. You will bring leading knowledge from these fields together and realize it as software that forms the core of our products. You will have a key role in developing our cryogenic test setup in Delft. You will work with some of the best experts both in academic and industrial organizations, and have the possibility to attend conferences and contribute to published research.
Your background and skills
- MSc or PhD in physics or equivalent subject, with extensive cryogenic lab experience.
- Strong interest in quantum physics and machine learning, and willingness to push yourself to learn difficult new topics.
- Demonstrable understanding of spin qubits.

You work hands on but you are also in a key role in our design and technology choices. In addition to your area of expertise, you are eager to contribute in developing our solution end-to-end. You work hands on, but have a key role in defining our cloud architecture and technology choices. In addition to your own area of expertise, you are eager to contribute in developing our solution end-to-end. Your background and skills
- A degree in computer science, physics, mathematics or similar technical field
- Strong experience in one or more of the following Google Cloud, AWS, Azure
- Strong experience in designing and managing the deployment and monitoring of services

Quantum Software Engineer
Location: Finland
As a Quantum Software Engineer at QuantrolOx, you will have a central role in developing our advanced automation software for quantum computers. Your main responsibilities include programming microwave instruments to perform quantum experiments, creating algorithms for automated analysis of measurement data, and writing quantum simulations. You will also contribute to the end-to-end design of our product.
Your background and skills
- A degree in physics, mathematics, computer science or similar technical field
- Solid understanding of quantum physics, preferably in the context of superconducting circuits and semiconductor quantum dots
- Ability to digest research literature in quantum computing and to share your understanding with others
- Demonstrated expertise in creating production-quality software
- Great communication skills with cultural awareness to work effectively in a global setting
- Strong command of Python and a passion for good software design
- Hands-on lab experience and/or familiarity with microwave engineering and RF devices are strong plus
- Experience in developing machine learning systems especially as applied to physical measurements is a strong plus

Technical Team Lead
Location: Delft, The Netherlands
This role consists of both technical and managerial work. Reporting to the CTO, you will help build the team from the ground up and guide the direction of technical work. You will recruit team members, line manage them, and help them grow their careers. Furthermore, you will have a key role in our customer interface and the success of our customer deliveries. You are equally happy in managerial tasks and hands on technical work.
Your background and skills
- A degree in physics or equivalent subject, with good knowledge about spin qubits.
- Demonstrable experience in building and leading technical teams.
